SCHOOL AGED MAKE-UP:
Dust face with matching powder or foundation to prevent shine.
Brown or purple shades of eye shadow. Use a dark shadow all the way up to the crease.
Line the top and bottom eyelids with a black eyeliner (liquid is easiest). Bring the lines together on the outside of the eye and take the line upwards following the line of your bottom eyelid.
Apply mascara
Apply dramatic blush along the cheekbones so you don’t look washed out on stage.
Apply red lipstick
SCHOOL AGED HAIRSTYLE: Parted in middle, low slicked back bun secured with gel, hairspray, hairnet, and bobby pins.
Start with wet hair. It makes it easier to get a clean, crisp look
Part hair down middle, add gel and comb into a low ponytail straight back from the ears. Make sure there are no lose hairs or bumps!
Using bobby pins, split ponytail in half and twist each section as you wrap hair around elastic into a bun, pinning as you go.
Use a hair net the same color as dancer’s hair and secure over the bun. Secure with more bobby pins.
Use lots of hairspray/gel so there are no flyaways.
If your costume has a hairpiece, secure hairpiece with extra bobby pins directly above the bun.
BOYS HAIR AND MAKEUP:
Hair: Styled with gel/hairspray in any way
Make-up: Dust face with matching powder to prevent shine, apply blush along the cheek bones (not dramatic, just for color), apply chapstick to lips
