TAP Team Calendar 2024-25:

  • July 20: Applications due

  • Aug 20: Complete online training

  • Aug 22: FOY TAP Training, 4-6pm @ Bntl 

  • Sat, Oct 12:  TAP Training and Assignment #1 due, 9am @ Bntl

  • Sat, Nov 9: Individual Growth Meetings with Ms. Drew, sign up for a time

  • Sat, Jan 18:  TAP Training and Assignment #2 due, 9am @ Bntl

  • Fri, Jan 31: Recital Choreography Night with teacher, time @ place (invite only, not all assistants needed)

  • Sat, Mar 15: TAP Training and Assignment #2 due, 9am @ Bntl

  • Tues, June 3: TAP Team Celebration & Self Reflection due, time TBA @ Bahama Bucks

TAP TEAM LEVELS:  

  1. TAP Assistant: Applicants must be 10-12 years of age, must be a pre-intermediate dancer in the discipline they wish to assist OR have teacher recommendation, and must show an interest in providing quality instruction. TAP Assistants will assist ONE to TWO classes per week.

  2. TAP Leader: Applicants must be 11-13 years of age or older, must be a pre-intermediate dancer in the discipline they wish to assist OR have teacher recommendation, must have completed two years as a TAP Assistant and 25 hours of classroom assisting hours and must show an interest in providing quality instruction. TAP Leaders will assist up to TWO to THREE classes per week.

  3. TAP Intern: Applicants must be 14 years of age or older, must be a pre-intermediate dancer in the discipline they wish to assist OR have teacher recommendation, must have completed 2-3 years of the TAP Program and 75 hours of classroom assisting hours, and must show an interest in providing quality instruction. Interns will be given a tuition credit towards their own dance training. TAP Interns may assist several classes per week.

  4. TAP Apprentice: Applicants must be 16 years of age of older, have completed all prior TAP levels, and be capable of providing quality instruction. If they are still a current student, they will be given a tuition credit; otherwise, they will be hired as staff member and put on payroll. TAP Apprentices often substitute for teachers and are eventually given their own classes as teachers.
